About the painting

The series can be considered as a graphic writing without the contingencies of symbols and meanings in a free representation that depends largely on how the material behaves when applied to the sheet of paper, on how they combine in its intricate network of penetrations and interactions. What is lost in monochromatic simplification is gained in another way through the contrast, the expressive sharpness and the plastic complexity of the Chinese ink.
